Our Story Begins Here
Camp Earthworms
Camp Earthworms is a nature-based summer camp for preschool-age children, nestled on a privately owned 4-acre forested property on the Key Peninsula. Backing up to a serene stream, this woodland haven provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable outdoor experience.
Join us from 9 AM to 1 PM (or 3 PM), Monday through Friday, as we explore the natural world through hands-on activities like hiking, arts and crafts, plant and animal identification, sensory play, imaginative games, and good old-fashioned creek stomping.
At Camp Earthworms, we’re passionate about creating a safe, joyful, and enriching environment where young children can learn through play and connect with nature.

Our Mission
At Camp Earthworms, we believe that nature is not just a backdrop for learning, but that it is a vital teacher. Our all-outdoor summer camp for preschool-aged children offers a rich, exploratory environment where curiosity blooms, imaginations soar, and a lifelong connection to the natural world takes root.
Our all outdoor camp invites children to explore the world through their senses, encouraging curiosity, creativity and confidence through hands on discovery and play. We foster critical thinking and problem solving by asking open ended questions, listening deeply and guiding children toward their own insight and solutions. Through language, art, movement, and cooperative play, children are empowered to express themselves and create joyful connections through shared experiences.
Through daily adventures in the outdoors we aim to inspire awe, wonder and stewardship - planting seeds for the lasting love and respect for the natural world.
About
My name is Mallory Goddard
As a Montessori-certified preschool teacher with a deep love for the natural world, I bring over eight years of experience in early childhood education—including two years in a forest school setting where I’ve had the joy of guiding children through hands-on learning in all kinds of weather. The outdoors has been my greatest teacher, shaping my approach to education as one that values curiosity, resilience, and wonder.
I am CPR and First Aid certified, trained in Wilderness and Remote First Aid, and a lifelong Girl Scout and volunteer, where I love sharing outdoor skills and camping know-how with young explorers.
Camp Earthworms is the heart of my passion: a place where I can blend my experience with the magic of the Key Peninsula woods to create an adventurous, enriching, and joy-filled summer for young children. I can’t wait to explore, learn, and grow alongside our earthworms!
