About Us

Our Story Begins Here...

Camp Earthworms is a nature-based summer camp for preschool-age children, nestled on a privately owned 4-acre forested property on the Key Peninsula. Backing up to a serene stream, this woodland haven provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable outdoor experience.

Join us from 9 AM to 1 PM (or 3 PM), Monday through Friday, as we explore the natural world through hands-on activities like hiking, arts and crafts, plant and animal identification, sensory play, imaginative games, and good old-fashioned creek stomping.

At Camp Earthworms, we’re passionate about creating a safe, joyful, and enriching environment where young children can learn through play and connect with nature.

Our Mission

At Camp Earthworms, we believe that nature is not just a backdrop for learning, but that it is a vital teacher. Our all-outdoor summer camp for preschool-aged children offers a rich, exploratory environment where curiosity blooms, imaginations soar, and a lifelong connection to the natural world takes root.

Our all outdoor camp invites children to explore the world through their senses, encouraging curiosity, creativity and confidence through hands on discovery and play. We foster critical thinking and problem solving by asking open ended questions, listening deeply and guiding children toward their own insight and solutions. Through language, art, movement, and cooperative play, children are empowered to express themselves and create joyful connections through shared experiences.

Through daily adventures in the outdoors we aim to inspire awe, wonder and stewardship - planting seeds for the lasting love and respect for the natural world.
